家庭蔬菜栽培要訣
1. 用什麼容器種菜?:盆栽，木桶，木框，高床(木頭，木板，磚塊)光鏟除一部份草地，或不鏟除?
2. 種在什麼地方?:原來地方，與花一起，排水好的地方，陽光足夠嗎?容易澆水嗎?美觀否? Assess your site (Sunshine, wind, too wet, right place, ground plans, size, and shape)
3. 在那裡種什麼菜及種什麼品種的構想:group together, runner type? Tall or dwarf? Sunshine
4. 土壤狀況及土壤肥力及PH值:肥沃否?有機質夠嗎?太黏嗎?保水好嗎?雜草籽多嗎?
5. 空間利用:雜亂地，choose right place (use vertical space, catch crop, year round crop)
6. 土壤型態(soil type)，Sandy, Loam, Clay Loam, Clay，以及如何區分及改良?
7. Organic or inorganic:有機肥料有那些(Fish and chicken manure, blood and bone, seaweed等 )
8. 土壤管理:
A. 太酸，加ground lime stone，Dolomite, 太鹼加Sulfate of Amonia, Sulphur powder
B. 土壤養分含量評估:N.P.K 及 trace element
C. 覆蓋物:樹葉，草屑，Compost,Well-rotHedmanure,saWduSt,seaweed，其他
D. Green manure crop:Alfafa, barley, lupin, peas, oats, mustard
E. 加右灰之效果，及中耕之作用
F. 黏土如何改良:加入大量粗砂，有機肥，蓋布，水乾枯前，加石灰，挖溝，高床
9. 土壤水份管理:保持土壤濕潤，土壤通氣更重要，勿太多水，土壤表面觀察，評估何時澆水，填加保水及排水物質之重要性
10. 肥料施用及方法:有機氮素:Bone dust，Blood and bone,fish manure, dry blood
P:Blood and bone 7%，K素草木灰，Rock Postash
Slow release fertilizer,如 Niitrophoska 及 long term液肥效果，及其製作方法，如何施肥? NPK=6:5:5
11. Potting Medium: Good potting mix，完全配方含肥份，保濕，排水劑
自已製作:好的top soi1，粗砂，Compost=2:1:l及Slow release F
12. 那些菜可留種子，那些菜不宜留種子，如何保存種子
13. 如何育苗?Hardening off, rotted seed, damping off Disease
14. Companion Planting: Basil and tomato parsley, marigold and lettuces, berry，Corn, pumpkin and bean, Silverbeet and lavender，Dill and corn, garlic and parsley and rose，金蓮花與青花，蘿，potato，Foxglove,除蟲菊,carrot and onions,lettuce and garlic,peas and greens,
15. 病蟲害防冶:常見蟲害:Aphid，Beetles，caterpillars，cutworm, mite, scale, slug and snails, thrips
有機法:garlic spray, soap water, pickoff,醋水，沖水，勿太乾，手抓，
病害:Blight, downy mildew, Powdery mildew, rust等
有機法:量 2.5 table spoon hort oi1 to 4.5 L水及加入以下成分:
a l table spoon Palm liquid soap
b 1 ts fish emulsion, 1 ts baking soda, 2 ts l.f.
